Elkhart County, IN is located in Northern Indiana on the Midwest most traveled highway, I-80/90, a short 120 miles East of Chicago and 165 miles north of Indianapolis. Over 1400 hotel rooms are located at Exit 92 in Elkhart off of I-80/90 for convenient event coordination and room blocks. Producing over 80% of all recreational vehicles in the nation, Elkhart County is the RV Capital of the World and home to numerous outdoor events and enthusiasts from biking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and camping. The Elkhart County community is extremely engaged and interested in working with sports planners and tournament leaders to identify the ideal site and venue components including offering site inspections, hotel room bids, receptive services, volunteer recruitment, media contacts, visitors resources, web links, photos and guidance for teams, participants and attendees. Authentic rural experiences combined with lively downtown atmospheres offer attendees the opportunity to experience during down time craft brews, artistic shops, Victorian mansions, botanical gardens, Amish experiences and even a comic book museum! Elkhart County participates in the Regional Cities Initiative with Visit South Bend/Mishawaka and offers multiple cross-promotional two-county solutions for large events utilizing the University of Notre Dame and St. Joseph County venues many of which are a short 20-30 minute drive from Elkhart.
